Recommended Ideal Viewing Points

Route 1: From Reunification Hall to Tao Dan Park

  • Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Le Loi Intersection: This is one of the prime spots to view the parade, as it’s close to the grandstand and a key turning point. The sidewalks are spacious and offer a clear, unobstructed view. Nearby shopping centers include Saigon Centre, Takashimaya, and Saigon Square. Several high-floor cafés, especially within Sedona Suites, offer panoramic views of the main roads.

  • Phu Dong Roundabout – Nguyen Thi Nghia: A convergence point of important streets such as Cach Mang Thang Tam, Pham Hong Thai, and Ly Tu Trong. The parade will pass here before entering Tao Dan Park. Visitors can stand on the sidewalk or choose cafés like the ground-floor Starbucks at New World Hotel to view the procession early in the morning.

  • Cach Mang Thang Tam – In Front of Tao Dan Park: As the final gathering point for this route, the area is shaded with many trees. However, as only the end of the parade can be seen here, early arrival is recommended to secure a good spot on the sidewalk or park edge.

Route 2: Via Nguyen Hue – Bach Dang Wharf

  • Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Le Thanh Ton Intersection: This road leads directly to the Nguyen Hue Walking Street. The area is surrounded by hotels like Nhat Ha Lavish and Liberty Central. Cafés such as Eck Saigon, opening from 7:30 AM, are also great stops for watching the parade

  • Nguyen Hue Walking Street: The parade will pass by Ho Chi Minh City Hall and the statue of President Ho Chi Minh. Visitors can stand at the park in front of the statue or on either side of the street for easy viewing. High-floor cafés like those in Apartment 42 Nguyen Hue or Starbucks at Saigon Garden (99 Nguyen Hue), open from 6:30 AM, are excellent vantage points.

  • Me Linh Roundabout – Bach Dang Wharf: This is where the parade concludes and where 15 cannons will be positioned for the ceremonial salute. The area features many prominent hotels like Majestic, Hilton, and Liberty Central. Visitors may head to venues in the Seaprodex Building at the start of Dong Khoi Street for elevated views. To witness the aerial performance, the Ba Son Bridge area—linking District 1 to Thu Duc City—is ideal for viewing jet fighters overhead.

  • Transportation: Central areas will have road closures or traffic restrictions. Walking, ride-hailing services, buses, or the metro are recommended. Nearby metro stations like Ba Son, City Opera House, or Ben Thanh offer convenient access to viewing spots.

  • LED Screen System: If you can't find a suitable viewing location, you can still follow the event via 20 large LED screens set up along major roads like Le Duan, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Nguyen Hue, Dong Khoi, Nguyen Dinh Chieu, and Dien Bien Phu.

  • Bring Water, Hats, and Sunglasses: As the early morning sun can be harsh, make sure to stay hydrated and protected while waiting and watching.
